Sourced in France, these vintage French ceramic escargot shells were traditionally made as reusable serving shells for escargot, a classic part of French dining. Their warm caramel-brown glaze and molded shell pattern give each piece a wonderful sculptural quality, making them just as beautiful today as collected decorative objects. Similar vintage French ceramic shells were designed to hold escargot for oven-to-table serving.
