THE PIECE
A heavy antique French tripod stool with a thick, hand-shaped solid wood seat and three simple legs. The deeply worn surface, cracks, and tool marks give it a very primitive, sculptural look. Originally made as a simple working stool, this piece was built for everyday use rather than decoration. Years of wear have softened the wood and created the surface you see today. Now it works just as well as a small side table or sculptural accent.
